Gonna Make This/Friday Flavor

It's not too often I blog on a topic twice, but this is one that had double duty for me. Over on WordPress, I had the priviledge to enter my Thursday Doors post using a set of photos from last weekend. This is Part 2 using the rest of my pics.

Port Fonda is what was once a restaurant in an Airstream trailer turned into 2 restaurants of very classy "Inventive Mexican Food". One in Lawrence and the other in Westport, Mo.
I have to admit I played it safe and tried the Chorizo Fundido. But Only after I inquired on the level of heat those poblano pepper strips carried. This Was All Mine! Sorry, I  had already dug in to the skillet.
The view to my left.
The Bar behind me.

Note to the chef/owner, Patrick Ryan, (who by the way is doing the Midwest proud with some pretty outstanding awards)
I am going to attempt my own homemade version of your dish.
Thanks for the inspiration!

Aroma / Tasty Thursday

I wanted to use Aroma Tools on my blog title, but I guess that's a Company that specializes in aroma therapy items. Who knew? I certainly didn't, but glad I googled it. Good ol' Google.
But since I've already committed to the Aroma title on this Tasty Thursday,
the spices above were used in a recent recipe for some Old Fashioned Comfort Food.
Mixed by tablespoons since we had quite a batch to cook up, this is probably about a cup worth of spices you are seeing here.
Ron has the temperature just about ready to go.
And here are a couple of pieces of Dinnertime Contentment.
Fried Chicken.
Gluten Free for my hubster and daughter.

And apparently arriving home from work to this sight and scent was too much to of a temptation.
Someone had to finish the 'test' piece and make sure it was safe for consumption.
And yes,
We're Still Here.
Happy Thursday ya'll!

Katy Perry Likes Gluten Free/Tasty Thursday

We went to a concert in Kansas City last year to see Katy Perry. On stage she brought out the all time fave of that city, Minsky's Pizza. She chose an unsuspecting person from the audience and handed the little golden box to them and made a big production about it.  Little did the Minsky's folks know though that she is gluten intolerant.
Lucky for us, We Know they actually have  great G-free pizza.

Here's a portion after the hubster and daughter dived in.

Here's what my youngest daughter and I had in the 'not so g-free' version.
They really have the best pizza in Kansas City.
Highly recommended on this Tasty Thursday post!!
Sorry you lost out Katy :(
