New Addition/Missouri-Made Mondays

Introducing our newest member of the family. The proud parents are cousins of mine. The whole family is pretty darn happy at baby announcements. 

And just because this post just happens to be about Missour-Made, I figure you can't get much more Made in Missouri than this 💗

From our home, we want to extend our warmest congratulations to Arica and Ryan!!

But there's more!  In a previous post, I mentioned "The Long Project" in which I was creating a somewhat secretive item and only shared the color scheme. 

Now I can show you the finished item.....

As well as how close I came to running out of one particular color

I must have crocheted at the speed of sound.

I'm Taking A Vote

Way back on May 4, 2012, I posted about an afgan/throw I was making with leftover scraps.

Here's how that afghan looked then......

This last couple of months, I've created more squares and attached them and even added an additional border.

Here it is now......

I even got a close up of the "Bow Tie Fringe"

There is a little debate going on now. Someone living in this house says it looks like a rug. They are not of the male persuasion for the record. they know better :-)

So I'm taking a little vote.

Do you think it is finished or should it have the bow-tie fringe all the way around???

By the way, it is as wide as my couch so it is rather significant in size. It would top a twin bed nicely.

Lavender & Pine Green

Months have gone by.... but I finished this lap throw.

All the lavender yarn was a donation from my mother.

Someone gave her the yarn as an uncompleted sweater that I unwound

& reworked into this throw.

Not bad for nearly free!
